RANKED : MY FAVORITE KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS
These five Krispy Kreme doughnuts are ranked based on (1) how romantic it blends with my hot coffee and (2) how not so overwhelming the sweetness while still being a doughnut (you know what I mean).
BACON AND CHEESE RING-FILLED and BRÛLÉE CHEESE RING-FILLED | These are pizza-doughnuts for me. I love to nibble the cheesy taste in every bite of these before sipping my usual creamy coffee.
ORIGINAL GLAZED | The Classic! Always be the first and legal wife of my hot black coffee. Nuff said.
CHOCO PEANUT BUTTER RING FILLED | It looks too sweet but the sprinkled sea salt and roasted hazelnut tastefully neutralized the sweetness on this morsel. With lots of proteins too 💪🏼.
CHOCOLATE GLAZE | This is chocolately naive, and that is just perfect for me. I can eat only one each of the other 4 (in the rank) but I will always consume 2 of this. Every time!
DARK CHOCOLATE GLITZ with Davao’s award-winning Malagos Chocolate (below is Blueberry Bliss Glaze) | The subtle bitter taste amidst the sweetness is truly a unique doughnut experience in every bite. I love this with a creamier coffee.
