Why UNIQLO Closed its First Store in Mindanao?

From 767 to 1,414 square meters of shopping space this July.

To continue its commitment to bring LifeWear to more Filipinos, UNIQLO doubles the shopping space of its first store in Mindanao. A wider UNIQLO shop in SM Lanang Premier, Davao is set to open on July 19, 2019.

May 30, 2019, UNIQLO announced the expansion of its SM Lanang Premier store in Davao.

 

“Today UNIQLO has more than 2,000 stores in Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, U.K. and U.S.”

The Japanese global apparel retailer, UNIQLO is excited to announce the expansion of its SM Lanang Premier store. The first UNIQLO store in Mindanao which opened last May 26, 2017 is set to be the largest in Mindanao as it reopens this July. From its previous sales area of 767 square meters, the store will bring with it 1,414 square meters of new shopping space. UNIQLO aims to give customers in the area a brand new shopping experience with a wider variety of clothing choices.

To date, the company has opened a total of 57 stores since 2012 and is looking to open more by the end of the year.
